The cap on the top of this cartridge must be removed. (see photo above)  Hold the cartridge with the label facing you.  Insert the blade of the knife where the cap meets the cartridge and twist.  The cap should come off very easily.  Be careful not to break the finger on the back of the cartridge.   This finger holds the cartridge into the print head.  The cap is not need anymore.

IDENTIFYING THE VENT HOLE
Once the cap is off your will see 6 holes.  The 3 larger holes are not fill holes.  The smaller holes are the fill holes. In order to inject the ink you must first drill out the fill holes.  Using the eyelet screw supplied, screw the eyelet screw into the vent hole until you feel the no resistance. You are now ready to inject the ink.

INJECTING THE INK
Using the syringe draw 3 cc of ink.  Insert the needle into the vent hole as far as it will go.  Slowly, inject the ink and pulling the needle upwards as you fill.  This is to make sure the sponge receives ink evenly.

Watch the bottom of the cartridge for ink to drip from the sponge.  Once ink starts to drip from the sponge draw back on the syringe plunger this will stop the ink from dripping.  The ink dripping from the sponge indicated that the color is full.  Be careful not to over fill because you may contaminate the other colors.  Rinse the needle and syringe between colors, if you are refilling more than one color.  You may use immediately after you have finished refilling the color.
